    タイトル『立ち話』
    大歳克衛によるキャンバスに油彩F8号です。

    作品の特長は、巨匠師梅原龍三郎の豪快な画風さは感じられませんがルノワールを傾倒した卓越した油絵技術と、的確な線描による緻密な画面構成と、清楚な色調を用いた静かで穏やかな画風です。
    風景画が多くフランス滞在で培われた優れたデッサン力を十分に生かしながら、西洋絵画の技法を日本の洋画に根付かせる為、帰国後は後進の指導や研究を続けました。

    フランス郊外の学舎付近の風景で立ち話しする女学生を淡い色彩タッチで描いています。
    後方にさり気なく歩くシスターの姿もより女学生の表情を際立たせていると感じます。

    1929年広島県生まれ。
    1954年東京芸術大学油絵科卒業。梅原龍三郎に師事。
    1956年より国画会に出品し、初入選。
    1958年国画会新人賞。翌年、安井賞候補（1970年も）。
    1962年国画会会員。
    1964年よりパリに滞在。
    1970年日本洋画商協同組合展に選出。
    1994年広島市立大学芸術学部教授。
    1998年同大学大学院教授。
    2000年同大名誉教授となり、中国文化賞受賞。
    2014年85歳で逝去。
