We hope you're staying cool! It's almost time for *Obon in Japan, so mark your calendars! 

*Obon is a 3-day festival which celebrates the reunion of family. Although the official holiday is only for 3 days, because of the Mountain Day holiday on Monday, August 11th, many stores may take the entire week off for this celebration.

The Customer Service and Warehouse Teams will be out of the office on August 11th and from August 13th to August 15th, 2025 (JST) (and of course, the weekend from 16th to 17th)!

Please note that we will be back in office on August 18th (JST).

The Purchase Team will be working their normal hours of 9 AM to 6 PM (JST), so feel free to bid and order!

Since the holiday is on the longer side, please keep in mind that many shops, logistics centers, and domestic shipping providers will be either closed or working with limited staff during the Obon holiday. Because of this, there will likely be some delays with order and processing and shipping during this time.

We expect it may take up to a week to clear the backlog, so processing times are likely to be slower during the first week after the holiday.

We’ll do our best to order your items as soon as we can, but we kindly ask for your understanding and patience during the holiday week.

【Additional Information about the Obon Holiday】

DEJAPAN’s Obon holiday runs from August 13th to 15th (JST).

However, many Japanese retail and shipping companies tend to extend their break, possibly resulting in up to 9 days off. This may cause delays in order processing and shipping. We appreciate your patience, as your items might take longer to arrive.

Please be aware that our warehouse operations may also experience delays due to the holiday. We cannot guarantee that any specific parcel will arrive before the holiday season begins, as there may be delays in export procedures, shipping, and import processes.

To avoid accumulating storage fees, and to improve the chances of an earlier delivery, we strongly recommend consolidating any items in storage by August 4th (JST) and completing the second payment by August 6th (JST).

We will continue with our usual pace post-holiday, but we appreciate your understanding of any potential delays!
